  • This baobab was photographed in 2004 in the Morombe region of Madagascar when LAD discovered for the first time this island where his father had taken refuge for decades. Off the tourist trail, this tree really stood out for its posture and human structure.

The original work Dance africaine is composed of a photographic image and a sculptural intervention in mitsumata wood and natural fibres. If the tree is reminiscent of a dancing female silhouette, the sculpture was made in the same spirit.

    Frame size: 25 x 36 in / 63.5 x 91.5 cm
